Australian photographer, Michael Perini, was born in North Africa and spent 20 years as a respected photojournalist in Sydney before moving to Hong Kong. As senior staff photographer for The Sunday Telegraph, Michael covered breaking news events that included the tsunami, the independence of East Timor, the 2006 cyclone in Australia and the Sydney olympics. His work has taken him across the world to places such as Pakistan to the Rocky mountains in Montana. In Australia alone he has clocked up over 30,000 kilometres a year travelling the country in search of new images. He has photographed a host of well-known personalities, sporting heroes and dignitaries. These include Queen Elizabeth II, Imran Khan, John Travolta, Tom Cruise, Cate Blanchett, and Roger Moore. His reliability and open nature have won him the trust of his photographic subjects and the admiration of editors. His pictures have been syndicated in the international press including The New York Post, News International and The Sunday Times.

 

Now working as a freelance photographer, Michael’s work encompasses diverse fields from family portraiture and aerial photography, to photojournalism, fashion, food, homes and weddings. His clients include advertising and PR agencies, publishers and website designers.
